Austin, TEXAS !!! / テキサス州オースティン

Hello again from U.S. I flew to Austin, Texas after  LA, California. It’s my first time to visit Austin and I’m loving it!!!!

Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World that hosts very popular music festivals such as SXSW and the Austin City Limits Music Festival which I really wanna get involved. So I was pterry excited to check out all the cool venues, music stores and meet the locals.

The second picture is the airport baggage claim. Huge guitars are welcoming the visitors!!!

I was lucky enough to go to the PECAN STREET FESTIVAL, eat out at the popular TEX-MEX Restaurants(Texican Cafe, Pappasito’s Cantina), try out some guitars at instrument shops (Guitar Center, South Austin Guitars), buy the unique guitar Texas Box Guitar  and see Bonnie Raitt Show at The Moody Theater. Maybe I should write about each on my future blogs.

Actually I don’t miss Japan at all and feel like I can stay here longer…sorry my Japanese friends and family… I gotta go back to Japan soon though… Next time I’d love to play at some venues here. If you know any musician in Austin let me know!!

音楽の街、オースティンにいますよー。今まで、住んだり、旅行に行ったり、アメリカとは色々関係をもってきたつもりの私ですが、何気にテキサス州に足を踏み入れるのは初なのです！

テキサス州と言えば、WIllie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dixie Chicks等の出身地でもありますし、こっち系の渋めの音楽ファンにとっては、人生で一度は訪れたい場所。

ちなみに、今回のオースティンの旅は、前回のハリウッドとは違い、完全にプライベートで来ています。短い時間にいくつ訪れたい場所に行けるか….. 毎日時間との戦いです。私のワガママに付き合ってくれている現地の皆さん、本当感謝してます！！！I love you guys!!!

先週の土日に、PECAN STREET FESTIVALという6thストリートで繰り広げられるフェスに遊びにいきました。ストリートミュージシャン、箱バン、ゴミ箱を永遠に叩いている人等、音楽のない場所を探すのが難しいくらいに、ストリート全体が鳴っていました♩♩♩

オースティンは、メキシコに近いので、TEX-MEX（アメリカンなメキシカン料理）のレストランがとっても多く、しかも美味しいので、夜はもっぱらメキシカン通い。Texican Cafe、Pappasito’s Cantinaがオススメです★

そして、こちらのギター屋さんも出来るだけチェックしてます。Guitar Center, South Austin Guitarsには、マンドリンやバンジョー等、幅広い種類の楽器が沢山おいてあり、さすが音楽の街の楽器屋さん！！

そうそう、先日、iTunesやAmazon等で、全世界配信になったunnaturalのアルバム『Bouquet』ですが、アメリカのiTunesストアでもバッチリ購入出来るようになって、何だか実感が湧いて嬉しかったですわ。

そろそろ、日本に戻りますね。
